About the Magazine
VELDT is a South African fiction magazine from Simile Press — a handmade publication carrying fresh short fiction and poetry from South African writers, printed in-house, by hand, in Johannesburg. Each issue chosen for one reason only: because the writing in it is worth reading.
Every issue is available in print and digital editions. No issue ever goes out of print — we print to order, which means any issue remains available for as long as there is demand for it.
